SALTED CARAMEL ICED LATTE
Ingredients
Instructions
- Make espresso (see Note #4).
- Add only ½ cup ice cubes to a 24 ounce Mason Jar, then pour hot espresso directly into the jar over the ice cubes. Add unsweetened vanilla almond milk, Torani sugar-free salted caramel syrup, and remaining 1 cup of ice cubes. Seal the mason jar, and shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Pour the contents of the jar into a 16 ounce glass, and serve immediately with a reusable bamboo straw.
Notes
- We recommend grinding your beans just before making this latte. You can use decaf or regular coffee to make your espresso. We used Kicking Horse Coffee dark roast decaf for this recipe. For full octane coffee, we recommend Kicking Horse Coffee Kick Ass dark roast.
- We used Torani sugar-free salted caramel syrup for this recipe, which makes this latte keto friendly! If you prefer full sugar syrups, you can use the same amount of Torani salted caramel syrup, or Torani classic caramel syrup instead.
- Although we prefer using Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk for this recipe, feel free to use your favorite brand of almond milk, any nut milk, or try our Almond Milk recipe, which is super rich and creamy. You can also substitute regular dairy milk. We found that 2% dairy milk works best in this recipe.
- If you don’t have an automatic espresso machine with grinder, try using this Italian stove top espresso maker (6-cup).
- Makes on 16 ounce serving (including ice).

So Frothy & Delicious!
For a quick afternoon pick-me-up, or anytime you want a cold coffee drink that is rich and flavorful, our Salted Caramel Iced Latte is a must try recipe! It’s so easy to make, this 3 ingredient recipe will likely become part of your daily afternoon routine.
Although I used our fancy Thermador Espresso Machine to make our espresso, a good espresso can also be made in a number of ways. If you don’t have an automatic espresso machine with grinder, try using this Italian stove top espresso maker (6-cup) for a more economical method. Whichever method you choose, it’s important to start off with an extra strong cup of espresso.
This recipe is so versatile that it can be made with any nut milk, oat milk, or dairy milk of your choice. It can also be made with decaf or fully caffeinated espresso coffee. We used Kicking Horse Coffee dark roast decaf for this recipe. For full octane coffee, we recommend Kicking Horse Coffee Kick Ass dark roast. But feel free to use your favorite brand to make it your own!
To give it that perfectly balanced salted caramel flavor, we used a tried and true brand, Torani sugar-free salted caramel syrup for this recipe. Between the unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and the sugar-free syrup, this latte is keto friendly! If you prefer full sugar syrups, you can always use the same amount of Torani salted caramel syrup or Torani classic caramel syrup instead. Visit the Pimp Our Recipe section below for more recipe variations.
How do you ensure the best results from our recipe?
Our 4 tips to making a delicious Salted Caramel Iced Latte:
High quality ingredients, starting with dark roast coffee beans for the espresso.
Use your favorite unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
Use a large enough mason jar to get the right amount of foam. We prefer using a 24 ounce Mason Jar, but you could also use a 16 ounce Mason Jar in a pinch, if you reduce the amount of ice a bit.
Work quickly to make sure the ice doesn’t fully melt, and shake it vigorously to get the most frothiness.
Have any dietary preferences that won’t quite work with our recipe? It’s time to customize and Pimp Our Recipe.
Pimp Our Recipe:
Make it Sweeter (while still sugar-free): Increase the amount of salted caramel syrup to 1 ½ tablespoons, or to taste.
Make it Full Sugar: Replace the sugar-free syrup with Torani salted caramel syrup, or Torani classic caramel syrup.
Make it with Dairy & Full Sugar: Replace almond milk with 2% dairy milk. Then use Torani salted caramel syrup instead of the sugar-free version.
Don’t Like Almond Milk? You can use any nut milk, coconut milk, or oat milk for this recipe. Although some milks (such as oat milk) are not keto friendly, most nut milks are. Keep in mind that you want a neutral tasting milk in this recipe, otherwise, it will alter the flavor profile.
Don’t Have Salted Caramel Syrup? Use Torani classic caramel syrup (or sugar-free caramel syrup as a keto option) instead, and add a pinch of sea salt to the jar. Shake vigorously, and enjoy!
Want a Regular Caramel Latte? Replace the salted caramel syrup with Torani classic caramel syrup instead.
Make it Lux: Top your latte with a large dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce!

Footnote: Remember to pour the hot espresso over the ice. Work quickly so the ice doesn’t melt too much, otherwise it will dilute the coffee flavor.
