PMR HISTORY & FOUNDERS
Pimp My Recipe was originally created by two former corporate executives with lifelong passions for all cuisines.
PMR HISTORY
Prior to creating Pimp My Recipe, Micheline and Leigh, worked together for almost 20 years in a corporate environment. After many years of time away from each of their families, they independently came to the decision to leave their jobs and choose health and happiness over monetary gain. Micheline retired, and Leigh focused on spending time with her family. And then the pandemic hit…
A few months of isolation with their families and many hours in the kitchen, sending each other photos of the delicious food they were making, led them to realize that their love for creating mouthwatering dishes and cocktails should be shared with others. They decided to team up again to create Pimp My Recipe, which launched in January 2021, and publish their own unique recipes and elevated twists on some of their favorites.
After two years with Pimp My Recipe, Leigh realized she enjoyed working with Micheline on this passion project, but found it difficult to maintain the demanding schedule required to support PMR. With an extremely busy family schedule, Leigh had to reprioritize her focus on her active family life. In September 2022, Leigh made the difficult decision to step away from PMR. Leigh and Micheline remain good friends, and Micheline continues to manage and produce content for PimpMyRecipe.com, and develop many delicious recipes for the website and all the PMR social media platforms.

A Message from Micheline
Heavily influenced by my parents’ love of cooking and entertaining, my own love affair with cooking and baking began at a very early age. Sitting at the counter every night and watching them prepare, cook, and taste the food as they went along, is what really started my education in French cooking and helped me develop my palate.
Needless to say, I didn’t have a typical American upbringing, especially when it came to food. My first grilled cheese sandwich was gruyere cheese with Dijon mustard and butter on a baguette. By the age of three, my favorite food was escargot.
When I turned four, my father showed me how to properly chop parsley and from that day forward, it became my job for each evening meal.
My Latin background also helped expose me to other flavors and cuisines. I have such wonderful memories of sitting at my grandmother’s kitchen table, while she patiently showed me how to prepare and shape homemade tortillas and make other Spanish and Mexican dishes.
Although they all had very different styles of cooking, my parents and grandmother were all exceptional cooks and they inspired me to carry on the traditions of cooking and entertaining for my family and friends.
