LAVENDER LEMONADE
This easy Lavender Lemonade is a delicious twist on the classic that everyone will love. This quick and easy recipe perfectly balances bright, tangy lemon juice with delicate floral notes for a drink that's light, fragrant, and irresistibly refreshing. Make it natural or tinted lavender!
Ingredients
Instructions
- Using a juicer, squeeze fresh lemon juice.
- To a highball glass (12 ounce), add the juice, and Easy Lavender Simple Syrup, and stir well until combined. Add filtered water (or sparkling water), and stir again.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes, and stir to chill lemonade. Garnish with a slice or two of lemons, and a reusable glass straw. Serve and enjoy!
- Follow directions for the above Steps 1 & 2. Using a toothpick, use 1-2 tiny drops at a time of either Violet gel food coloring (or combo of 1-2 tiny drops of Red gel food coloring and 1-2 drops of Blue gel food coloring), and stir well. Add more gel color a little at a time, stirring well, until you reach the desired color.
- Continue with above Step 3.
Notes
- For the right balance of flavor, try my 3 ingredient Easy Lavender Simple Syrup recipe. It can be made in advance and is as easy as simple syrup gets. You can use a store bought lavender syrup; however, it may lend a totally different flavor (i.e., might be too sweet or too heavy on the lavender flavor, which might give it a soapy taste).
- A 1:1:5 ratio is perfect for lemonade, giving this drink a full bodied lemonade taste. If you prefer a more subtle flavor, use 6 ounces filtered water (or sparkling water). Either way, you’ll end up with a delicious lemonade.
- Makes one 7 ounce serving (12 ounces with ice cubes).

Summer Memories in Every Glass of Lavender Lemonade.
Whether you're hosting a backyard gathering, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a beautiful way to cool off during summertime, this Lavender Lemonade makes a glass of traditional lemonade even more special.
Some of the sweetest summer memories aren't tied to grand vacations or elaborate celebrations. They're often found in the simple moments—those that seem ordinary until years later, when you realize they are the memories you treasure most.
For me, a glass of homemade lemonade has always been part of those moments. It brings back lovely childhood memories of my grandmother and I picking lemons from her backyard tree and her kitchen counter littered with squeezed lemon halves everywhere. I couldn’t wait to “help her” make the best summer drink ever! I was so proud that she let me pour what seemed to be buckets of sugar into the pitcher, and help her stir the liquid gold elixir. To this day, I can’t drink a glass of lemonade without thinking about my grandmother.
One of my favorite things about this lemonade is how easily it comes together with my homemade Easy Lavender Simple Syrup. The syrup adds just the right amount of floral sweetness without overpowering the fresh tangy lemon flavor, creating a perfectly balanced drink that's refreshing, elegant, and unmistakably summery. It has just the right amount of lavender flavor with no soapy taste.
So, the next time you have a small gathering, like a family barbecue, garden party, or a picnic under a shady tree, I encourage you to try this twist on the traditional lemonade recipe. Adding a hint of lavender elevates classic lemonade into something memorable and truly special.

How do you ensure the best results from this recipe?
My 4 tips to making the best Lavender Lemonade:
Use fresh organic lemons. Do NOT use bottled lemon juice, as it will taste like preservatives and ruin that wonderful lemonade flavor.
Make my Easy Lavender Simple Syrup recipe. It has the perfect balance of lavender flavor, without tasting soapy like some store bought brands.
Stirring the lavender syrup and the lemon juice together before adding the water or ice cubes, ensures the two ingredients are fully combined.
If you choose to tint your Lavender Lemonade, start with only a few tiny dots, and mix well. You can always add more coloring, but you cannot make it lighter. Red and blue make purple, so playing around with the amount of each will depend on your gel color and how much you use.
It’s time to customize and Pimp My Recipe.
Pimp My Recipe:
Make it Sweeter: If you like a sweeter lemonade, then add ½ tablespoon more of the Easy Lavender Simple Syrup (i.e., a total of 2 ½ tablespoons). I would taste the original ratio first, then add as needed.
Make a Pitcher of Lemonade: Add to a large 68 ounce pitcher, 1 cup (8 ounces) fresh lemon juice, and 1 cup (8 ounces) Easy Lavender Simple Syrup, and stir until well combined. Add 40 ounces filtered water (or sparkling water), and stir again. Fill individual glasses with ice, and pour Lavender Lemonade into each glass. Garnish with lemon slices or sprigs of lavender. If making ahead and using sparkling water instead of flat filtered water, wait to add the sparkling water just before serving so it doesn’t lose its effervescence.

Footnote: If you are using sparkling water for this recipe and making multiple servings, remember to wait until just before serving to add the sparkling water.
